Be the 'Neelkanth (Lord Shiva)'

By nature human beings crave for recognition in the eyes of others. However, quite often we do it at the cost of our team member's glory. For any failure we pass on the buck to our subordinates, whereas we try to snatch all the praise for even a small success. If people are not recognized get dissatisfied and in the long run feel demotivated. It is the golden rule of the management; 'Credit is for Junior whereas debit is for the senior'.

During 'samudra manthan' when poison was churned out, it was lord Shiva who kept it in his neck. Due to which his neck became blue and thus he is called as 'Neelkanth'. The message to all of us is that we should give credit for a well-accomplished task to our team members, whereas accept debit incase of their failure. Our team members will not only accept that these results are generated because of the additional efforts put in by us but also give us the credit. This way we will not only keep our team members motivated but also command their respect. This feeling will also help us to establish our leadership.
