Vivek Mehrotra is an accomplished corporate trainer. Sharing the basics of a successful professional ‘CAREER’ has become a way of life with him. He has garnered a vivid experience of 35 years in sales, marketing, training and HR in variety of the industries, such as, Pharmaceutical, Telecom, Retail, and e-commerce.

With a modest beginning as a Medical Representative, his uncanny ability to fight with adversities enabled him to rise to the position of National Head Sales. After making his mark in selling and marketing, Vivek decided to share the elements of success with the budding and aspiring young generation. This became the genesis of Vivek’s distinguished career in training spanning well over two decades.

Vivek has worked as Head – Training with Torrent & Cadila, both among India’s top 10 Pharmaceuticals companies. Apart from setting up the entire training department from scratch in both the organizations Vivek ensured successful training delivery to both the domestic and international operations. During his stint as a corporate trainer with these organizations he developed rich experience of imparting training on critical selling, leadership and managerial skills. He has trained over 5000 front-line sales personnel and line managers.

His quest to acquire new skills and knowledge of other industries took him to the Telecom industry. Here, he worked as the Circle Performance Head and later on as the Head - National Training Operations with Reliance Communications. The continuous hunger for new learning later brought him to the Retail industry. Here, Vivek worked as the Head – GM (Talent Transformation & Development) with Reliance Retail Ltd. 

Vivek is currently working with Flipkart as Director HR & Head – Academy for Supply Chain which includes Leadership Development, Creating HR systems and processes for Talent Management, Learning & Development, Career Progression, Succession Planning, Mass Hiring, and Employee Engagement.

Vivek is an extremely audience friendly speaker. His credentials are impressive. He has the distinction of having ‘Shri Narendra Modi’ the honorable Prime Minister, then Chief Minister of Gujarat with his cabinet colleagues and entire team of IAS officers from across the state of Gujarat as his audience.

Exposure in Sales, Marketing, Training and HR, at different levels, in variety of industries, such as, Pharmaceutical, Telecom, Retail and E – commerce enables Vivek to conceive and execute training and OD interventions that result into tangible improvement in business results across organization with ease and a minimum gestation period.

The secret behind his immaculate success is his strength in manpower planning, developing performance appraisal system, designing promotional strategies for better productivity and case studies to display improvement in performance makes him stand apart from rest of the world. His passion includes,

  • Organizing ‘Assessment Camps’ to assess the ‘Impact of Training’ through improved productivity
  • Design training and OD interventions that apart from improving performance, develop ‘customer centricity’ as a key value.
  • To coach and mentor human resources to enhance competencies and build a ‘High Performance Team’ Vivek is a visiting faculty to various management schools. He has served as the Member – Program Review Committee of Ahmedabad Management Association.

Vivek has developed a ‘Diploma Course in Pharmaceutical Selling’ for ‘Ahmedabad Management Association’.

Writing is his passion. Vivek has many books to his credit.

Leading people and optimizing resources for effective pursuit of a team’s objectives is his forte. Setting up a value system and high performance standards, not allowing mediocrity and favoritism amongst team members is the mantra behind his success.
